Pastor | Jon Spalding

Bio // Pastor Jon has been serving as Lead Pastor at King’s Way since July 2008. A native of Northwest Missouri, Jon has been a United Methodist Pastor for 28 years. He began ministry as a youth director before completing seminary at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. He has completed the Beeson Institute for Advanced Church Leadership at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wymore, Kentucky. Jon is married to Denise and they have two daughters, Ashley and Kelsey, and have begun the “empty nesters” stage of life. They live on the west side of Springfield with their dog Minnie and enjoy fishing and making trips to Minnesota to be with family. Pastor Jon serves as a coach for pastors and churches in the Missouri Conference as we celebrate the connection of the United Methodist Church.

Interesting Fact // One of the things on my bucket list is to take a cooking class to learn how to cook and serve a 7 course meal!
